ADIS 2026 | The Lowest Cost Per Registration in a Five-Channel Campaign
Paid search carried a specific role inside the ADIS 2026 registration programme: capture the audience already looking for a Gulf infrastructure event, and capture it cheaply enough to make every other channel affordable. The campaign ramped roughly six weeks out from the summit and carried into the event window itself, 12 to 14 May 2026 at ADNEC Abu Dhabi, so paid media remained live while on-site registration was still possible.
- The Challenge
Routing was the second constraint. Five audience segments were running across the wider programme, each with its own creative and landing page. Directing every search click to a single generic registration page would have discarded the intent the campaign was paying to capture.
The Approach
Centric treated the account as something reworked every week against live query data rather than configured once at launch.
Long-Tail Keyword Development
More than 200 long-tail keyword variations ran alongside the head terms. Weekly query mining surfaced roughly 80 additional long-tail keywords each week, folded directly back into ad groups, while more than 200 negative keywords were pruned across campaigns to cut waste before it compounded.
Persona-Mapped Ad Copy and Routing
Every ad group was written for a specific persona and routed to its matching landing page. Three headlines were tested against two descriptions in each ad group with winners promoted weekly. Sitelink and callout extensions covering agenda, speakers, venue and registration lifted click-through by roughly 30% at no additional cost.
Staged Bidding and First-Party Measurement
Bidding ran on manual CPC through the ramp and switched to Smart Bidding only once the account had crossed 50 conversions and had meaningful data to learn from. Device and location modifiers pushed UAE desktop up 15% and mobile down 20% during the ramp, then reversed in the final week as behaviour shifted. GA4 with Enhanced Conversions kept the account optimising against registrations rather than clicks.
The Outcome
Google Search delivered 3,667 registrations at $3.87 each, 52% below the $8.00 cost-per-lead ceiling set for the whole programme and the lowest cost per registration of any channel in the campaign.
More Return Than Its Share of Budget
Those registrations represented 14% of everything the summit brought in, bought with roughly 11% of the media allocation, making search the only channel in the mix to return more registration share than the budget share it consumed.
Well Ahead of the Other Paid Channels
LinkedIn returned registrations at $7.79 and Meta at $8.48, both reaching colder audiences with no existing intent to capture. Search was converting people who had already decided to look, and the campaign was built to be there when they did. Those 3,667 registrations fed a summit that put 17,500 people in the room against a target of 10,000.
Search Accounts That Improve With Age
Centric builds paid search assets that carry forward, so each subsequent cycle begins from proven data rather than fresh assumptions.
